Trade copier speed, measured: 46 ms from the master's fill to the copy's.

The median of 105 copies that filled, opens, closes and partial closes, between two MT5 accounts, measured on our live service from the broker's own timestamps. Our engine takes 0.1 ms of it. The rest is the two terminals and the broker filling the order.

Every copy

Not one lucky trade: 105 of them.

Opens, closes and partial closes, each from the master's fill to the copy's. Nearly all sit within a few milliseconds of the median; the slowest took 80 ms. Every trade the master made was copied.

Copies by time from fill to fill

105 copies, one bar per millisecond. Median 46 ms.

Partial close546 ms60 ms60 ms
SL/TP change546 ms50 ms50 ms

An SL/TP change has no fill, so its time runs from the engine sending it to the terminal confirming it.

Where the time goes

The engine takes 0.1 ms.

Each copy records when every step happened. Most of the time is spent around the engine: the master's terminal noticing and reporting its fill, and the broker filling the copy. The engine itself, which sizes the copy and sends it, is the shortest step of all.

  3. The engine sizes and sends the copy0.1 ms

Total, from the master's fill to the copy's46 ms

The broker's step is what remains of each copy's fill to fill, so a copy's steps add up to its total; their medians nearly do. The split relies on the terminals' clocks, the total only on the broker's.

How we measured

On the live service, with the broker's clock.

We traded on the master through its terminal and let the copier do the rest, exactly as it does for customers. For every copy, the broker tells us when the master's trade filled and when the copy filled. Our engine adds two times of its own: when the master's trade reached it, and when it sent out the copy.

FAQ

Questions about copy speed.

For anything else, email the team.

Is this the speed my copies will get?

It's what one pair of accounts got on our live service. Your own copies depend mostly on your brokers, as the breakdown above shows. The copier's activity in the app shows each copy's time, from the moment we hear of the master's trade to the copy being confirmed, so you can watch your own.

Why demo accounts?

A demo account fills orders on the broker's own servers like a live one, without risking money on a test. Live accounts at the same broker may fill differently, faster or slower.

What does fill to fill mean?

The time from the moment the broker filled the master's trade to the moment it filled the copy, both read from the broker's own timestamps. It includes everything between: the master's terminal, the network, our engine and the follower's terminal.

Do you add delays to copies?

No. There are no random delays or random lot sizes. If your prop firm doesn't allow a copier, don't copy into its accounts; our prop firm page has the questions to ask it.
